My passion for gardening began during the years that I lived in England. I visited many RHS gardens; and garden shows such as Hampton Court and Chelsea. I had never seen such beautiful flowering gardens and began to experiment and create my own. In 2008, I decided to study horticulture and change my career. I obtained my RHS certificate in horticulture and worked on various organic farms. I then set up my own gardening business ; and have been creating and maintaining beautiful English style gardens, and vegetable gardens for over 10 years<\/p>\n

Before my career in gardening, I worked many years in various roles of business, management and project management. My years of experience in the management of projects can be used to help you manage yours.<\/p>\n

A little on my approach to gardening<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

I love spending time in nature and observing how nature works. \u00a0In autumn, trees shed their leaves and cover the ground. \u00a0These leaves decompose and\u00a0create a very rich soil which in turn feeds the trees. \u00a0Nature’s system is perfect.<\/p>\n

In the natural world, everything is constantly searching balance. \u00a0In our gardens we often create an imbalance which leads to pests and disease. \u00a0Our approach is then to panic and use a bottle of something toxic to try and bring the problem under control. \u00a0The problem with this is that we often increase the problem. \u00a0Instead of helping to bring back balance, we create more problems and thus a vicious cycle. \u00a0And, a lot of waste in time and money\u00a0.<\/p>\n

I fully understand\u00a0! \u00a0I too feel a sense of panic when my precious plants are being ravaged by some hungry pest. \u00a0When disease hits and kills or disfigures the\u00a0garden;\u00a0I too want to resolve the problem quickly.<\/p>\n

But, if we can take a more patient approach and use nature’s intelligence to determine how to solve our garden problems, then our gardens will be healthier and more beautiful!<\/p>\n

I always start by looking at the soil. \u00a0This is the foundation of a healthy garden. \u00a0Depending on what we would like to plant, the soil may need amending. \u00a0Selecting the right plants for their surroundings and\u00a0using\u00a0a variety of plants also helps\u00a0immensely.<\/p>\n

For me, using organic methods is about creating health and beauty in the garden. \u00a0It is a great joy to have not only a beautiful garden but to enjoy all of the beautiful birds, butterflies and other amazing creatures that will visit.<\/p>\n

I attended a well run workshop about rose pruning. As well as being informative there was practical time spent pruning. I felt confident to go home and prune my own roses at the end of the workshop. Deborah made it fun and interesting, on top of this I met some nice women who I'm sure I will see again; so I learnt a lot and made friends. It was value for money and I highly recommend. I know that she also advises individually. Deborah speaks English and French.<\/div> <\/span> <\/div> <\/div>
