This is a follow on workshop from the planning & design workshop.  You will receive a demonstration on how to build parts of the garden which you developed in your own personalized  design.  

Price includes a 30 min video call to answer any post workshop questions. 

Whether or not you are looking to improve your current vegetable garden or build something completely new, this workshop is intended to provide you the skill to do so.

This is a follow on workshop from the workshop ‘ Designing your vegetable garden’ which includes more detail on what to plant, how to rotate the crops, and companion planting.

Lunch: a light soup will be provided.   Each person is welcome to bring an accompagnement for a shared lunch break.  If the weather is nice, we will eat lunch outdoors in a beautiful garden.    This workshop includes  some demonstrationin the vegetable garden. 

Agenda

This workshop is focused  on the actual construction  and soil preparation with hands on practice and demonstration in the garden  :

• Review different forms and styles of vegetable gardens and their pros and cons : traditional straight lines, raised beds, no-dig permaculture style beds, and other options.
• How to prepare the soil for each style and form : manure, compost, mulches.
• Organising the space – how to create the overall structure of the area including paths and supports.
• Review different types of tools and how to use them.
• Review different irrigation options including ideas for recuperating rain water.
• Demonstration of building a raised bed

This is a working session and all skill levels are welcome !
